El domingo 3 de junio se celebrará la gala de entrega de los MTV Movie Awards 2012, en Los Ángeles. Esta celebración otorgará los premios a las películas más aclamadas por los votantes, dado que ellos son los que elijen a través de la web de mtv.com quienes son las mejores. Éste año, Russel Brand, ex-marido de Katy Perry, sera el presentador de la gala. Las películas que más nominaciones acumulan son: Los Juegos del Hambre, Bridesmaids (La boda de mi mejor amiga) y Harry Potter.
